Michele Navarro Currenti is a recent graduate of the Maryland Opera Studio at the University of Maryland pursuing her PhD in Speech Language Pathology at Kean University. Her recent stage roles include: The Vixen (The Cunning Little Vixen), Dalinda (Ariodante), Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Ismail (Hajar: World Premiere) and covering the role of Rose Maurrant (Street Scene). Michele was the First Prize Winner of the Camille Coloratura Competition (2019), is a soloist with the New Jersey Bach Cantata Series, premiered Joel Thompson’s La Lluvia with the Yale Philharmonia, and has a diverse repertoire of experience, ranging from religious music to opera to contemporary musical theater. She completed a Bachelor of Music at the Eastman School of Music and a Bachelor of Science in Brain & Cognitive Science at the University of Rochester. In her free time, Michele loves to run, hike, and try new bread recipes.
